Description: Davis Ogilvie serves clients throughout the South Island by providing planning, design, and construction management services to facilitate land and property development. With offices in Christchurch, Greymouth, Nelson and Timaru and a nationwide staff of 50 we provide our clients with the support and experience of a well-established team. Our staff are technically at the top of their field and we are an IPENZ Professional Development Partner.
We currently require a motivated Structural Engineer to join our engineering team in Christchurch. The position would involve all aspects of structural projects including design, project management and construction supervision.
The following skills are required for this position:
• Experience in the design of timber, steel, and concrete structures, retaining walls and foundations for residential and commercial buildings.
• An interest in the associated disciplines of civil and geotechnical engineering, surveying and land development.
• A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer based design tools, including Microstran and AutoCAD.
• Strong research, writing and communication skills.
• Preferably a chartered engineer, BE (Structural or Civil), or be on the way to becoming chartered.
