We currently have a full-time permanent opportunity available within our Asset group as a Surface Waters Engineer.
This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in a busy environment and wants to develop their skills within a fast growing community. Reporting to the Water Services Team Leader you will be managing the development and operations of the District Surface Water Assets including storm water treatment facilities, pump stations, reticulation networks and stock water races in order to meet all operating parameters as required under relevant operable consents.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Environmental related degree as well as asset management skills. Alongside this you will have demonstrable experience working with surface water assets and be familiar with Council procedures and protocol.
Being adaptable, analytical and a strong problem solver is paramount for this position. You will also be proficient in Microsoft based platforms and applications, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage data information and workloads effectively.
